Seasons in Connecticut
From 2010 to 2011, I took still photos of my New England home just before sunrise each day through all four seasons. It happened to be a snowy winter that year - and the whole experience was a reminder of Mark Twain's saying, "If you don't like the weather in New England now, just wait a few minutes."
Using Adobe Premiere Elements, I carefully bundled all those photos together, adding the dates of each individual photo in Adobe Photoshop, to make this little video.
It felt like an epic project at the time but I'm so glad that I did it!
For years, I did not publicly share this video because, while I credited Michelle McLaughlin's music at the end of the video, I had not asked her for her permission to use it when I created the video. (This was intended to be a personal project and I didn't think anyone else would be interested in seeing it.)
In November 2020, I reached out to her to ask if I could post the video (with her music) so that I could share it with friends & family. She graciously gave me her permission and so I've posted it here!
Openly in Love is from her 2004 Album, The Beginning of Forever. Please do visit her site - she's a gifted musician and her music is just lovely!
