Purple Haze
Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color ...
In the Selective Color drop down options box, choose the "magentas" color box and tinker with the sliders. I've found that turning down the cyan and magenta sliders while turning up the yellow can make a huge difference in eliminating purple casts and fringes. (If it takes out areas where you want the purple to remain, just mask it back in when you're done.)
If these adjustments leave a slightly sallow look to skin tones, switching to the "Red" color box and tweaking those can return some of the rosy color without putting the purple back in.
One of the nicest things about this technique is it's non-destructiveness and that the slider settings don't reset to 0 when you click OK. You can go back in and re-tweak as you see fit.
