Widgets & Other Utilities
Little utility programs (with screem shots of my settings) used around this site. This link is mostly for my own reference (because I keep forgetting the settings! --saves a few steps when I update my site to just have them here...)
I used PictoBrowser as the slideshow application for showing the Vicksburg photos. It's a free web application and links directly to a Flikr account so images can be effortlessly added. Here is a screenshot of my settings:
I used SpringWidgets to show the work that is available in my ImageKind gallery. It's a free web application and links directly to my ImageKind account. With this little application, my website shows the prints that I currently offer for online printing. I also use this application for the RSS feeds on my Links page.
The settings that I use on my site's SpringWidgets:
Size for the RSS feeds: 500w x 175h
Border Color: 204, 204, 255 (ccccff)

Just a little note: The image above is a composite of 3 screenshots and done with Ultrasnap Pro. Could I have done this in Photoshop? Absolutely! (But this took about 15 minutes from screenshot to web and I didn't have to swap between programs...!) Ultrasnap Pro doesn't come close to Photoshop in composite capabilites, but it is indeed a workhorse for those times when all you need are a few screenshots and maybe some quickie enhancements... Awesome program!
